Management Team

James Y. T. Tang, Ph.D. joined Ox International as Chairman of the Board. Dr. Tang founded Transworld Mortgage Corporation and its affiliated companies in 1990 where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Transworld services residual mortgages nationwide. In 1982, Dr. Tang acquired Allright Auto Parks, Inc. During his tenure as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Tang expanded the company's operations to 86 cities across North America and Canada. Prior to the acquisition of Allright, Dr. Tang was the Managing Director of Hang Lung Development Co., Ltd., a multinational real estate and development conglomerate in Hong Kong. Prior to Hang Lung, Dr. Tang managed and operated businesses in the airline, real estate & development, and bus industries. Dr. Tang was originally an engineer at Bell Labs where he designed anti-ballistic missiles. Dr. Tang holds a Ph.D., Astrophysics from Cornell University and a B.S., Aeronautical Engineering and an M.S., Aerospace Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andrew R. Tang, a co-founder of Ox International, serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Ox, Mr. Tang was a financial analyst in the Client Strategy Group at Morgan Stanley. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Tang founded and served as Managing Partner for Templar Capital Group, LLC, a private equity group that provides funding and advisory services to early stage ventures. Mr. Tang competed on the professional tennis tour and served as Captain of the United States Prentice Cup Team. Mr. Tang currently serves on the Board of Advisors for Mobilocity.net, Inc. Mr. Tang graduated with distinction from Yale University with a major in Mathematics and Economics.

Theodore Louie joined Ox International as interim Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Louie previously served as Senior Vice President for Transworld Mortgage Corporation, where he is responsible for financial reporting, financial analysis, planning, risk management, and investments. Prior to joining Transworld, Mr. Louie served as Director of Finance, working with the Chairman at Allright Auto Parks, Inc. Previously, Mr. Louie served as Engineering Manager at Frito-Lay Ltd. Mr. Louie holds a B.A.Sc. from University of Toronto and an MBA from McMaster University.

Richard C. Tsu joined Ox International as Chief Information Officer. Mr. Tsu previously served as Data Processing Manager at Transworld Mortgage Corporation, where he was responsible for IT budget and global IT strategic planning and implementation. His team was responsible for deploying Transworld’s advanced global data and voice network infrastructure that seamlessly links branch offices worldwide. Prior to joining Transworld, Mr. Tsu was a senior software engineer in the IBM Software Engineering Tools Group. Mr. Tsu holds a B.S. from New York University, a B.E. from the Cooper Union School of Engineering, and an M.S. from Polytechnic University.

Pierre Yu joined Ox International as Vice President of Corporate Development. Prior to joining Ox, Mr. Yu served as President of EquiVantage, Inc., a financial services firm that specialized in home mortgage loan origination and servicing. In 1995, Mr. Yu served as a General Manager in spearheading the establishment of the JIBIC outsourcing venture, Equivantage’s strategic partner in China. Previously, Mr. Yu was an executive with Richfield Investment Corporation and was instrumental in creating one of the most profitable regional divisions for an international real estate company.

Mark J. Warnken, a co-founder of Ox International, serves as Vice President of Strategic Alliances. Prior to joining Ox, Mr. Warnken served as a director of Business Development at Cephren, Inc. (now Citadon), a business-to-business marketplace and collaborative framework for the global construction industry. Prior to joining Cephren, Mr. Warnken was a financial analyst in the Natural Resources Investment Banking Group at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Warnken graduated from Yale University with a major in Political Science and Economics.

Yvonne Cheng, joined Ox International as Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Ox, Ms. Cheng was a financial analyst in the Global Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions and also helped in securing private and strategic financing for emerging telecom companies. Her experience includes the acquisition of ICO Global Communications by Craig McCaw’s investment vehicle, Eagle River, and U S WEST’s merger with Qwest Communications. Ms. Cheng graduated with distinction from Yale University with majors in Economics and Chinese.

Erik Lin joined Ox International as Vice President of Finance. Prior to joining Ox, Mr. Lin was a financial analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch, where he focused on dealings associated with international and domestic acquisitions and divestitures. His experience includes RJR Nabisco’s $8.0 billion divestiture of its international tobacco operations to Japan Tobacco and the corporate structuring at Armstrong World Industries and MedPartners (now Caremark Rx). Mr. Lin has lived and worked in Hong Kong, Germany and the U.S. Mr. Lin graduated with distinction from Yale University with a major in Mathematics and Economics.

Bill E. Gurney joined Ox International as Director of Sales.  Prior to joining Ox, Mr. Gurney was with Requisite Technology selling e-content solutions to enable B2B e-commerce. Prior to Requisite, Mr. Gurney spent over 20 years in the electrical and power transmission industries in sales for Kirby Risk, an electrical distributor with locations in Indiana and Illinois, as President of his own manufacturers' representative business, and as a direct factory representative for Warner Electric.  Mr. Gurney graduated from Beloit College with a major in Economics.

Advisory Board

Matthew Arnold joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. Mr. Arnold currently serves as the Vice President of Business Development at i2 Technologies (NASDAQ: ITWO), a leading provider of marketplace-to-marketplace support and supply chain and content management solutions. His team covers the telecommunications, utilities, construction, and aerospace & defense verticals and is responsible for developing industry plans, supporting product development for key industry solutions, leading strategic deals, and industry marketing. Prior to joining i2, Mr. Arnold worked with the CIO at General Electric on leading the eBusiness and process improvement initiatives. Prior to GE, he served as a consultant for A.T. Kearney. Mr. Arnold holds a B.S., Mechanical Engineering, from Union College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Steven M. Benardete joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. During his 22-year tenure at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Benardete has worked in the Corporate Finance Division, Fixed Income Derivatives Division, and the Private Wealth Management Division. Mr. Benardete became a Managing Director in 1991 and has served as the Co-Head of the Global Fixed Income Derivatives as well as the Group Head of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Firm Risk Management, where he was responsible for the oversight of all principal trading activities for the Firm. He most recently served as Head of the Client Strategy Group. Mr. Benardete was formerly a Board member of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association. Mr. Benardete holds a B.A. in Mathematics from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Dick M. Chang, Ph.D. joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. During Dr. Chang's 30-year tenure at Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies, he has served as General Manager of the Communication Semiconductor Solutions Division and is currently serving as the General Manager of the Integrated Circuits Business Division in the Semiconductor Products Group of Agilent Technologies where he is primarily engaged in research, design, marketing and manufacturing activities. Dr. Chang has had extensive Board experience including Board positions at 8x8, (NASDAQ: NTRG), Raster Graphics (NASDAQ: RGFXE, acquired in 1999), Buslogic (acquired by Mylex, NASDAQ: MYLX), and CDS (acquired by Maxtor, NASDAQ: MXTR). Dr. Chang holds a Ph.D., Applied Physics from Stanford University and a B.S., Physics, California Institute of Technology.

E. Yegin Chen, Ph.D. joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. Dr. Chen has been active in private equity and business advisory work for over eight years. He most recently was a Director at Clarion Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Hong Kong, where he focused on buyout opportunities and on incubating Internet companies across Asia. Prior to joining Clarion, he served as Vice President at ACL Asia, another pan-Asian private equity firm. Dr. Chen has served as a business school faculty member and as an advisor to several early-stage Internet and software firms. Dr. Chen holds a Ph.D., Managerial Economics, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management and a B.A. and B.S. from Stanford University.

Dean Dorman joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. Mr. Dorman serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at Silver Oak Partners, a provider of procurement solutions to financial institutions. Mr. Dorman previously served as Vice President of Business Development at Ventro, a builder and operator of B2B companies. Mr. Dorman was the Founder and interim-CEO of Industria Solutions, a Ventro operating company serving heavy-duty fluid processing industries that emerged as a joint venture with DuPont, IBM, and CMGI. Prior to joining Ventro, he worked at General Electric to spearhead the development of GE’s corporate e-commerce strategy and initiatives. Prior to GE, Mr. Dorman was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company where he specialized in analyzing operations and supply chain management practices. Mr. Dorman was a senior aviation design engineer and served as an Officer in the U.S. Army. Mr. Dorman holds a B.S., Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, from U.S. Military Academy, West Point and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Kevin D. Jones joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. Mr. Jones is one of the first to write about the rise of B2B e-commerce Net markets. Tracking this market niche since its inception, he is considered one of the leading experts in the field. Mr. Jones' vision of how Net markets are changing the way companies do business propelled the founding of Net Market Makers (NMM), an events, publishing and consulting company. Mr. Jones has been an advisor to companies ranging from American Express to venture funded Internet startups like Testmart and CarStation. Mr. Jones plays a central role in the community of market makers, investors and suppliers by speaking and moderating at industry events. He is in frequent demand as a speaker and has given keynotes and led panels at i2's Planet 2000, Industry Standard's Internet Summit, Giga Information Group, Internet Commerce Expo, Silicon Valley Web Guild and others. Mr. Jones is a contributing B2B e-commerce columnist for Business 2.0 and has written for The New York Times Online, Forbes ASAP and Interactive Week. In March of 2000, NMM was acquired by Jupiter Communications, which was recently acquired by Media Metrix.

Timothy S. Perini joined Ox International as an Advisory Director. Mr. Perini is a co-founder and Vice President of North American Field Operations at Citadon, Inc., a business-to-business marketplace and collaborative framework for the global construction industry. Mr. Perini was a co-founder and CEO of eBricks.com, a company which merged with Blueline Online, Inc. to form Cephren. Previously, Mr. Perini served as a product engineer at Perini Corporation, a $1.4 billion general contractor. Mr. Perini holds a B.A. in Geological Sciences from Harvard University, and an M.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
